Srinagar- An Army soldier died after falling from a forward post along the Line of Control in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, official sources said.
Sources said that Lance Naik Rituk Choudhary, 26, fell from the post towards a downhill ridge.
He was evacuated to the MI Room at Rumlidhara, where he was declared dead on arrival, they said, as per news agency KNO.
The body will be handed over his legal heirs after completing legal formalities.
Choudhary was a resident of Uklada village of Gujarat’s Tapi district.
