Srinagar- All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) on Tuesday expressed concern over government inaction in alleged arson attacks on Sikh properties in the Karnah area of North Kashmirโ€™s Kupwara district.

APSCC chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said action is imperative to expose subversive elements of the society.

โ€œMembers of both the majority Muslim community and minority Sikh community have been living in harmony in the village since time immemorial,โ€ Singh said, adding that some people want to create a wedge between the two communities and asking people to avoid it.

โ€œIn an incident on the night of June 30, two cars and a motorcycle belonging to two Sikhs were burnt by some divisive elements. Before this, a house was set on fire by these people; damages were caused to other things as well,โ€ the APSCC chairman said.

He said that even though the station house officer concerned visited the village, that was not enough.
