Jammu- A 14-year-old boy was critically injured in a bear attack in a forested area of Jammu and Kashmirโ€™s Ramban on Saturday, officials said.

Akram Ahmad Chopan, a resident of Seeri village, was attacked by the wild bear at Asher in Banihal area, where he had gone to tend to his livestock, the officials said.

They said some shepherds, on hearing his cries, rushed to his rescue and shifted him to the Sub-District Hospital for treatment after chasing away the beast.
