A new study published in the International Journal of Social Impact has found a high risk of pesticide exposure among households living close to apple orchards in Kashmir.

Surveying 509 households across all 10 districts of the Valley, researchers found nearly 90% had no buffer zone separating homes from orchards, while many reported unsafe pesticide storage and disposal practices.
