Srinagar- Three houses were gutted in a fire that broke out during the night in Khan Mohalla, Gurwait area of Budgam district of Central Kashmir, leaving six families homeless, officials said.
An official said that the fire spread rapidly and engulfed three houses within a short span of time.
He said the by the time fire tenders reached the spot to douse off flames, the blaze had caused extensive damage to the houses, leaving six families homeless, reported news agency KNO.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained and the exact loss property is also being assessed, he added.
