Srinagar- The Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board has launched a technological empowerment initiative to strengthen digital infrastructure across its shrine administrations and sub-units.
Under the initiative, computer systems were distributed among administrators of various Waqf shrines and sub-units at the New Central Waqf Office, Sonwar, by Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi.
The programme was attended by senior Board officials, including Dr Bashir Ahmad, Special Officer Auqaf, and other engineering and administrative officers.
The initiative seeks to improve day-to-day administrative efficiency, digital record management, official communication and technology-enabled service delivery.
The Board said the programme is part of its broader modernisation and e-governance agenda aimed at improving record-keeping, transparency and accountability across Waqf institutions in Jammu & Kashmir.
