Another Batch of Pilgrims Leaves for Amarnath Shrine in Kashmir

Jammu- A fresh batch of 926 pilgrims left the base camp here on Friday for the annual Amarnath yatra in Kashmir amid multi-tier security arrangements, officials said.

The convoy left the Bhagwati Nagar yatri niwas at 2:59 am in 42 vehicles, including 21 buses.

With the departure of todayโ€™s batch, the total number of pilgrims who have left the Jammu base camp for the annual pilgrimage has risen to 1,44,439, officials said.

The 57-day annual pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine is scheduled to conclude on August 28.
