Srinagar, April 16: The weather across Jammu and Kashmir is expected to remain largely dry on April 16, with a possibility of thundershowers in isolated areas towards late afternoon or evening.

According to forecast insights, April 17 may witness thundershowers in many parts of the Union Territory, particularly across the Kashmir region. However, no prolonged or continuous spell of rainfall is anticipated.

For April 18 and 19, thundershowers are likely to affect most areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The timing and duration of rainfall will vary from place to place, with weather activity expected to intensify from Saturday night and continue into Sunday. From April 20 to 23, the weather is predicted to remain mostly dry across the region.

Meanwhile, experts have advised orchard growers to avoid spraying operations until April 19 due to the likelihood of rainfall. There is also a possibility of gusty winds and hailstorms in some areas during this period.
