Srinagar Police Felicitates DGP Medal Awardees at DPL Srinagar

Srinagar, May 10: Srinagar Police on Saturday organised a felicitation ceremony at the District Police Lines (DPL) Srinagar to honour police officers and officials who were awarded the prestigious Director General of Police (DGP) Medal for exemplary and outstanding service in the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The ceremony was presided over by DIG Central Kashmir Range (CKR) Srinagar, Rajiv Pandey, IPS, along with SSP Srinagar, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, IPS. The officers presented DGP Medals and commendation certificates to the awardees in recognition of their dedication, commitment and exceptional performance during the years 2024 and 2025.

The awardees included SP Tanweer Ahmad Dar, DySP Mohmad Yesser Parrey, DySP Shakir Hassan, DySP Vikram Nag, DySP Dheeraj Kumar, Inspector Mohd Iqbal Sheikh, Inspector Sheikh Wakeel, Inspector Reyaz Ahmad Khan, ASI Vikram Kumar Raina, ASI Mohd Yaseen, HC Arif Hussain, SgCt (Now) Vijay Chib, SgCt Vinod Kumar, SgCt Sanjeev Singh, SgCt Showkat Ahmad Dar, SgCt Rashpal Singh, SgCt Sarvjeet Singh, SgCt Nisar Ahmad, SgCt Mohd Fareed, SgCt Mudasir Ahmad, SgCt Shabir Ahmad, SgCt Zahoor Ahmad, SgCt Sheikh Aadil Azad, Ct Mukhtar Ahmad, Ct Tanveer Ahmad and Ct Yawar Majid.

Speaking on the occasion, DIG CKR Srinagar congratulated the medal recipients and appreciated the courage, dedication and professionalism displayed by the officers while performing their duties under challenging circumstances. He stressed the importance of public-oriented policing and urged the personnel to continue serving with commitment and integrity.

SSP Srinagar also commended the awardees for their devotion to duty and said such recognitions inspire and motivate the entire police force.

The ceremony concluded with appreciation for the sacrifices and efforts of the awardees in maintaining peace, law and public safety in Srinagar.
