Anantnag Police Arrests Notorious Heroin Supplier Sahil ‘Doggy’ And 3 Others In Major Drug Bust

Anantnag: Continuing its crackdown against drug trafficking, Anantnag Police arrested four alleged drug peddlers in two separate operations carried out by Police Post Sangam and recovered heroin and brown sugar from their possession.

According to police, a naka was established at Halmulla, Sangam, where a Honda City vehicle bearing registration number JK01AG-4342, travelling from Jammu towards Srinagar, was intercepted and searched.

During the operation, police recovered nearly 12.7 grams of heroin-like substance from the possession of Syed Sahil alias “Doggy” of Firdous Colony Bemina Srinagar, presently residing at Rayar Budgam, along with Farhan Majeed Wani of Gaberpora Hall Shopian and Uzair Ahmad Itoo of Sehpora Dooru. The vehicle used in the alleged offence was also seized.

Police have registered FIR No. 127/2026 under sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act, and investigation has been taken up.

In another operation, Police Post Sangam apprehended Sartaj Ahmad Allie of Naina Batpora near Naina Bridge, G.B. Khalil, Naina, and recovered around 19 grams of brown sugar from his possession.

In this connection, FIR No. 128/2026 under section 8/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation is underway.

Anantnag Police said it remains committed to dismantling drug networks and ensuring a drug-free society.
